Loggerheads

Tim Kirkman's terrific feature LOGGERHEADS opened the 17th
New York Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgendered Film Festival on
  June 2, 2005 on a high note.This year's themes included Sports, Retro
Sex, Parenting and Activism. While it is impossible to see all the films at
the festival, I will see as many as I can as in past years.

LOGGERHEADS is a beautiful and thought-provoking drama
that falls under the Parenting theme as it traces three stories revolving
around Mother's Day which eventually come together in surprising and
  moving ways.

          A
full review of the movie will be available when it opens theatrically
in November, but I will say this: It has already earned a spot on my top
  ten list for this year.

Kirkman, who made a terrific debut with the documentary

DEAR JESSE, here crafts a delicate and wonderous tale of love and
acceptance. The film contains award-worthy performances from Bonnie
Hunt, Tess Harper and Chris Sarandon, as well as excellent work by
Kip Pardue, Michael Kelly, and Michael Learned.

LOGGERHEADS will be screening at other film festivals and if
you have the opportunity, do not miss this gem of a movie.
